I had the Logitech X-230, quite cheap. When I installed the Z-2300 I clearly saw a difference in the sound quality. The bass has more feeling and the treble is awesome! Using them a full day with many kinds of music, Rap, R&B, Salsa, Trance, Tribal House, Hardcore, Hardstyle, Classical Music and a few games I can say I was more than pleased.
The room is 8x5 and quite suprizingly, they could fill the whole rooom with loud music!
The speakers, started to show some destortion at ~85% volume. The sub never distorted, only when more than 90% with Rap and R&B and the distortion wasnt that much as expected.
Now, I am back at my other computer with the Creative GigaWorks S750 and I noticed that the Creatives sub has more clear bass and a bit crispier treble. Maybe of course, that could be because the computer with the GigaWorks has a Creative X-Fi audio card, while the other one has an onboard Realtek.
I purchased them for 129E, which I find a very good price for a system like that.
If you want the perfect sound quality, I would go with the Creative GigaWorks, but if your tight on money and space, the Z-2300 is an excellent product.
Overall, I give the Z-2300 a 9/10.
