It's been a wait for me; I wanted to get my hands on the final release of this game so badly! I played the demo version, and while some things annoyed me, I figured it is a demo and things will be sorted out and improve in the final version. NOT!
It didn't happen, and the mistakes from the demo were all carried over.
In short:
Terrible sound effects, laughable AI (Artificial Intelligence) and gameplay without any depth to it.
This game would've been a success before Quake1 came out, but at this date, it's just not good enough anymore.
Running around and collecting keys is boring, and it's all you're going to do in this game besides shooting the bad boys. Even shooting the bad boys is not fun, since their AI is so bad that is makes it no challenge and just annoying, because the aiming is off, the animations are poor, and the corpses look like they fell into a barrel of tomato ketchup.
Sounds ? They're there, and sometimes I just wish they weren't because they are annoying too, and poorly done.
The graphics are what kept me going in the demo, the graphics are nice and present the environment favorably, with well done effects, even though I didn't care for the green lighting on the walls. Why green ?
Play the demo, it'll satisfy your curiosity, and save the money for a game that is worth it.
