Nintendo DS Lite Console

The second coming of the gaming handhelds. Yes, the graphics aren't quite as high-tech as the PSP, but what this system lacks in specs, it more than makes up for in sheer playability.

Playability is that intangible quantity that keeps you coming back; eye candy is nice, but one needs substance to achieve completeness. Nintendo has shown that they "get it," and it shows with the new DS hardware and the games already available. 2007 looks to be the blockbuster year for the DS, both in mainstream games and in "home-brew" programming.

This is one capable little platform.
