Great improvements in the Game Boy Advance SP

Date of Review:  Apr 10, 2003
The Bottom Line: Great improvements make the Game Boy Advance SP a must-have handheld.
Review: My kids had been bugging for a Game Boy Advance ever since it came out. We rented it from Blockbuster a few times to see what it was like and the kids loved it, but we didn't really have the money, so they were still stuck with their Game Boy Color...

Almost perfect... almost.

Date of Review:  May 18, 2003
The Bottom Line: Awesome and everything a portable should be. Now if only there was a headphone jack that you didn't have to pay for... maybe the Advance SP+ Alpha or something?
Review: A short, short time ago in a country far, far away...

It doesn't seem that long ago that I was surrounded by a ton of freaks and geeks at my local Funcoland (Now, I suppose, a Gamestop and no longer local seeing as how I live in Korea...

Handheld Video Game Systems: Game Boy Advance SP. Yes sir, I like it!

Date of Review:  Apr 12, 2004
The Bottom Line: If you love video games, and sometimes are away from a TV and a console, give it a shot.
Review: Quick Facts:
Game Boy Advance SP Hand Held Video Game system, manufactured by Nintendo in 2003. 2.9 inch screen size, backwards compatible with all GBA and GB games. Rechargable lithium ion battery, system priced about $90 at the time of this...

I'm Glad I Waited to get a GBA.

Date of Review:  Nov 24, 2003
The Bottom Line: Buy it. What else are you going to buy? A Nokia "El Taco"? Fuhgettaboutit!
Review: A while ago, Nintendo came out with the GBA and everyone was stoked on it, except for one little thing. The lack of a backlight. For games like Castlevania, it made it really hard to see the backgrounds and attacks unless you were tilting the screen...

I guess I wasted $200!

Date of Review:  Jun 7, 2003
The Bottom Line: Buy one, even if you modded your GBA! You can bring it everywhere with you, and even play in the dark!
Review: Before you get any ideas, no, I wasn't so desperate to get a GBA SP that I paid top dollar for it. =)

As everyone (even those who don't own an SP), the biggest problem with the original GBA is the lack of a backlight. Sure, there are...

This GB is Super!

Date of Review:  Jul 15, 2003
The Bottom Line: This is an excellent product to keep the kids entertained without spending a lot of money on batteries. The unit is sturdy, yet stylish.
Review: Being a gadget freak myself, I like to purchase the latest gadgets for my kids whenever I can afford them. My children started out with the GB Color, then moved to the Advance, and now the SP. I am very pleased with this one. First off, as a parent,...

ADULTS: Best gadget in years.

Date of Review:  Apr 30, 2003
The Bottom Line: Think of it as a NES, SNES and Gameboy that fits in the palm of your hand. Tons of great games to choose from right now. Superb gift.
Review: Video games, my earliest vice (and still alive and well, I might add). Having used virtually everything that could run a game in it, I know about this stuff. Timex Sinclair, the Vic-20, Commodore 64, Amiga 128, Atari2600, Colecovision,...

LET THERE BE LIGHT!!!!!

Date of Review:  Nov 27, 2004
The Bottom Line: All-in-all I really like the SP. I like the design and it's compactness. A definite recommendation to pass some time.
Review: I'm not a big fan of Nintendo but when it comes to a hand held console and games the Game Boy Advance SP is my first choice.

When you first look, you might think the new SP is some sort of travel alarm clock. When it's closed, it's just as...

Finally a GameBoy for adults (who are kids at heart)

Date of Review:  Mar 26, 2003
The Bottom Line: Perfect for teens and adults. The original GameBoy Advance is still the best choice for kids though.
Review: I've owned every single iteration of the GameBoy since the original was introduced in 1989. Like many I became addicted to Tetris and the other puzzle and mindbender games that were released for the original system. It was great for passing time on...

Out of the Darkness - Game Boy Advance SP

Date of Review:  Feb 23, 2004
The Bottom Line: Game Boy Advance SP is far above any Game Boy system you have used in the past.
Review: Why would you buy a new handheld game system if you already have a perfectly good one? If the new one offers great features that your old one doesn't have, if it's smaller and more portable, or maybe if you want to be the person with the newest and...
