For me, this Exilim EX-S600 was an unusual buy. I was not a starter-buyer: I normally use a large SLR and I wanted this as a camera which I would carry EVERYWHERE with me.
I chose Exilim because it was recommended by a professional...

Pros: Fine metal housing, overall thin size, picture quality, operating speed, price!
Cons: NO USB connector on the camera itself. Needs included dock
The Bottom Line: This is the camera to get! Thin, solid. The speed of all of the functions are fast. Shutter Lag is a thing of the past! Crisp solid image quality!

OK, I had purchased the Casio Exilim EX-S500 last summer. It was a truely amazing camera. It stood out for overall value in the sub-compact range. Don't get me wrong, a sub-compact is NO MATCH for the prosumer style digital SLR like the Canon Rebel...
